Shift: M-F 7am - 3:30pm

Location: Plainfield, IN

Position Type: Contract to Perm

Pay: $16 - $19/hr

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Security & Loss Prevention Specialist to help protect company assets, maintain facility security, and support safe daily operations. This role works closely with operations and leadership teams to minimize loss related to theft, vandalism, and security violations.

The ideal candidate is observant, professional, and able to maintain confidentiality while working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate with third-party security personnel and vendors
Monitor personnel and visitor access points
Complete daily security checklists and incident reports
Communicate visitor guidelines, waivers, and facility policies
Conduct routine security walk-throughs of the facility
Verify dock doors and access points are secured at the end of shifts
Perform spot checks on containers and outbound materials when required
Monitor work areas for unauthorized materials or restricted devices
Inspect outbound packages for proper labels and accuracy
Report security concerns or policy violations to management
Ensure visitors sign in and wear assigned badges
Monitor surveillance cameras and report equipment issues
Monitor docks, emergency exits, and restricted areas for unauthorized access
Maintain required security records and documentation
Help ensure protection of sensitive customer or company information
Assist operations team as needed
Support safety, compliance, and continuous improvement efforts

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred
1–3 years of related experience in security, loss prevention, or warehouse operations preferred

Required Skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Organized with strong time-management abilities
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
Professional attitude and positive work ethic
Ability to meet deadlines and follow procedures
