Job Description

Day-to-Day: A top oil & gas company in Houston, TX, is seeking a Midstream Project Scheduler to join their team. This individual will support fast paced product replacement and well connection initiatives, coordinating schedules across a large volume of concurrent projects (~185 projects). This role is commercially driven and focused on accelerating project execution so wells can be connected and producing as early as possible. The environment is dynamic, with multiple stakeholders, tight timelines, and frequent changes requiring rapid decision making and prioritization. This is a unique position that supports 100+ midstream projects, with each project having around 8 milestones. The projects are usually short term and must meet contractual and regulatory deadlines. The team averages 600+ projects annually. We understand that the high volume of concurrent projects is not typical in the Planner/Scheduler community. Due to the nature of the projects being short term only having an average of 8 milestones that equates to 800 - 1600 milestones annually. Typically, Planners/Schedulers communicate with Project Managers, Project Controls, and the 3rd party Contractors/Vendors executing the work. This position is unique with extensive communication with the Commercial Sales, Business Managers, Procurement, Project Managers, Project Controls, Contractors/Vendors.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and continuously update detailed project schedules for product replacement and well connection activities
  • Coordinate scheduling activities across multiple workstreams, contractors, and internal stakeholders
  • Manage schedules for a high volume of concurrent projects, ensuring alignment with commercial commitments and execution priorities
  • Identify schedule risks, conflicts, and dependencies; propose mitigation strategies to maintain target start dates
  • Track progress against milestones and communicate schedule impacts clearly and proactively
  • Support rapid replanning as project scopes, priorities, or field conditions change
  • Ensure schedules support early production targets and overall commercial objectives
