  HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR & DRIVERS

Olympus Technical Services, Inc., a Montana-based, employee-owned environmental services firm specializing in hazardous waste site remediation, mine reclamation, environmental engineering, and emergency spill response is seeking Heavy Equipment Operators and CDL and Non-CDL drivers for a project in East Helena, MT. The position reports to the Project Manager and/or Field Services Division Manager.

Duties:

• Safely operate and drive various types of equipment, including excavators, skid steers, dozer, compactor, wheel loader, end dumps (non-CDL), water trucks (CDL and non-CDL).
• Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the vehicle.
• Perform routine inspections of equipment and vehicles and report any maintenance issues.
• Communicate effectively with team members and follow directions from Project Manager and Foreman.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures at all times.

Qualifications:

• Heavy equipment operation
• 40-Hour Hazardous Waste Operations (HazWoper) preferred, but not necessary for qualified individual.
• Good driving record.
• Mechanical capabilities required.
• Ability to lift 80 pounds.
• Ability to pass random drug and alcohol tests.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of project and employee information.

Compensation:

Hourly wage DOE – Prevailing Wage Rates

Overtime pay 1.5 times hourly wage.

Workdays are generally Monday – Friday 40 hours/week+ but may be after hours or on weekends. Schedule may vary based on job schedule and season.
