Job Description

As an Installer at Architectural Surfaces (a Marketing Alliance Group company), you will be responsible for the precise and professional installation of cabinets, tops, and from time-to-time wood trims. Your work will ensure that installations meet both aesthetic and functional standards, contributing to the overall success of construction and renovation projects.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret and work from blueprints, shop drawings, and architectural plans to determine installation requirements.
  • Measure, cut, and fit materials such as cabinet fillers, counter tops, and wood trims to specifications.
  • Install products in various settings, ensuring alignment, fit, and finish meet quality standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers, designers, and other trades to coordinate installation schedules and requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues as they arise, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in construction or related field preferred.
  • Experience with installation of commercial cabinetry.
  • Knowledge of different types of wood materials and their installation requirements.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and building codes related to surface installation.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in wood, cabinet, or similar material installation.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction documents and blueprints.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to perform light equipment maintenance and troubleshoot minor issues.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with installation of commercial cabinetry.
  • Knowledge of different types of wood materials and their installation requirements.
