Join the Launch of a Transformative Nursing Program as Our Financial Aid Coordinator

UPMC Altoona is excited to introduce the UPMC Mercy School of Nursing at Altoona, a dynamic 16-month diploma program designed to elevate the next generation of nurses in our region. As we prepare to welcome our inaugural class in Fall 2026, we’re seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Financial Aid Coordinator or Enrollment Specialist or to help shape the student experience from day one.

Your work will directly support the success of our students and the growth of our program.

Responsibilities:

• Administers the student financial aid program at the UPMC schools of nursing.
• Provides financial aid and assistance to eligible students and maintains financial aid records.
• First point of contact for current and incoming students with questions pertaining to financial aid
• Starts and maintains financial aid records on paper and within the CampusVue Student Information System
• Contacts current and incoming students about Financial Aid missing/incomplete documents, follow-ups with students as needed
• Responsible for paperwork related to the origination and disbursement of financial aid for all current students who request Financial Aid
• Assists current and graduating students with payment plans
• Assists with the recruitment activities for the schools through attendance of Information sessions or answer individual questions from potential students
• Completes special projects and assignments as directed.
• Performs in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements for Enrollment Specialist title:

• High School Degree or related is required.
• Post-secondary Education administration experience is required.
• Knowledge of computers and ability to assist others with computer use is required.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

• Act 33 with renewal
• Act 34 with renewal
• Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
