Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Business Analyst-Data Analytics to strengthen our team’s documentation, quality assurance, and change control processes. This role will bridge the gap between technical analytics work and business operations by ensuring consistency, traceability, and clarity across our reporting ecosystem.

This role follows our hybrid work model of four days in-office and one remote day per week to support collaboration with the Data & Analytics team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Requirements Gathering: Partner with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to translate business questions into clear problem statements, detailed requirements, and measurable success criteria.
  • Project Coordination: Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and dependencies across multiple initiatives, serving as the central point of coordination between Analytics, IT, and business teams to ensure aligned priorities and on-time delivery.
  • Documentation Management: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for Power BI reports, dataflows, datasets, workflows, and data pipelines, ensuring version control and accessibility across the team.
  • Quality Assurance Ownership: Lead the QA process for the analytics lifecycle, including validation of data accuracy, reviewing report outputs, and maintaining testing procedures.
  • Change Control Coordination: Manage change requests related to data models, reports, and processes. Ensure all changes are properly reviewed, documented, and approved before deployment.
  • Technical Writing: Produce clear, consistent, and audience-appropriate technical documents such as process guides, data dictionaries, release notes, and data lineage summaries.
  • Process Improvement: Establish and refine documentation standards, QA checklists, and best practices to promote efficiency and reduce risk in analytics operations.
  • Cross-Functional Support: Work closely with business users and technical teams to communicate business logic, transformation rules, and report functionality.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Analytics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in data analytics, BI, or a related technical documentation role.
  • Strong understanding of BI reporting tools (Power BI preferred), data models, and ETL/dataflow concepts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated experience in technical writing.
  • Hands-on experience with QA processes, testing documentation, and change control frameworks.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, SQL Server, or data warehouse environments.
  • Experience using project management or documentation tools (JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint).
  • Exposure to agile development or analytics governance standards.
